He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse McHenry Padgett and Margaret Louise Fortune Padgett; and his sisters, Maxine Thomas (Carl), Kathryn Burns (Robert), Mildred Worley and Betty Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Ross Padgett; and his siblings, Mack Padgett (Carol), Charles Padgett (Brenda) and Barbara Padgett Penland. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack's memory to Covenant Reformed Presbyterian Church, located at 281 Edgewood Road, Asheville, NC 28804.
