She was predeceased by : her mother Brenda Rhodes. She is survived by : her father Jackie James; her husband Rodney Hudson; her children, Shaniece McQueen, Quanzae James and Naomi Hudson; her grandchildren, Dankwane Haddock, Zaykwane Haddock, Kaleeyah Haddock, Kmane Haddock and Ramir Haddock; and her siblings, Belinda James, Matthew James and Tony Clark. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.

Viewing was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Avery's Memorial Chapel (542 Hendersonville Rd, Asheville, NC 28803). Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Nazareth First Missionary Baptist Church (146 Pine St, Asheville, NC 28801). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at the Sunset Cemetery (1138 Sweeten Creek Rd, Asheville, NC 28803).
