With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Duane Bogan of Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on July 8, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As James departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy James leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Chandler (Lassie Bogan) and Allie Rebecca Chandler; his wife Allie; and his grandson Jeremy Sammons. He is survived by: his children, Debby Sammons (James), Richard Bogan (Lisa), Maria Johnson (Mike) and Karen Davis (Johnny). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
