He was predeceased by: his parents, Sandra Hughes and Donald Owensby; his stepmother Vonda Owensby; and his grandparents, John Owensby and Agnes''Dot'' Owensby.
He is survived by: his wife Rachel Sampica of Asheville, NC; his son Jacob Carson of Asheville, NC; his siblings, Donnie Owensby (Chanel) of Hickory, NC and Robbie Owensby (Lorie) of Burnsville, NC; and his stepfather Evan Hughes. He is also survived by several step-siblings; and several nieces and nephews.
