He is survived by: his father Arthur Owen Saunders; his children, Melissa Saunders of Greenville and Christopher Saunders of Asheville; his siblings, Jerry Saunders (Christy) of Raleigh and David Saunders (Carmen) of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Kaley Hackworth of Greenville and Kelsey Hackworth of Walstonburg; and his siblings, Elizabeth Saunders of Asheville, Nicole Myatt (Jason) of Willow Springs, Jessica, Madison Saunders of Raleigh, Julie and Marie Saunders of Wendell.
