He is survived by: his wife Judy Hart Byers; his sons, Jon and Greg; his daughters-in-law, Jazmine and Brittany; his grandchildren, Mackinzie, Camden, Lilli, Jordan and Hudson; his sister Kathy Kunkel (George); and his in-laws, Eloise, Luan, Hal, Brian and Lynn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (40 Church St, Asheville, NC 28801).
