He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Eplee and Evelyn Boyd Eplee; his wife Judy Brown Eplee; his daughter Christy Eplee; and his siblings, William Eplee, Rosena Haney, Helen Scott and Jimmie Dean Parris.

He is survived by: his sister Mary Ann Crook. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
