He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas Perkins and Johnsie Ziegler Perkins; and his daughter Lindsay Brook Perkins. He is survived by: his wife Robbie Howland Perkins; his children, Danya Perkins Doucette (James Arthur Doucette, Jr.) of Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia and John Thomas Perkins (Arlaya Swann) of Black Mountain; his sisters-in-law, Barbara Buckacker (Jim Buchaker) of Charlotte and Cindy Little of Albemarle; and his grandchildren, Clay Tanner Salos, River Thomas Salos of Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia, Nevaeh Lindsay Perkins, Kaiser Thomas Perkins and John Bryson Perkins of Black Mountain. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
