It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnn Carter Roberson (Asheville, North Carolina), who passed away on June 23, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Frank Roberson; her children, David Roberson and Diane Blackwell; and her siblings, Floyd "Shorty" Carter, Mildred Knighten, Maurice Carter, Elmore "Bo" Carter, Dixie McMahan and Colleen Prevatte.

She is survived by: her son Jay Roberson (Debbie); and her grandson Justin Roberson.

She requested any memorials to be made to the Kiwanis Club of Asheville, Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church, and Oteen Baptist Church.
