He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Embler and Dolores McIntyre Embler; his siblings, Dawn Embler Boone and Samuel "Freddie" Embler; and his grandparents, Reverend Aaron, Ella Mae Holloway Embler, Fredrick and Blanche Burnette McIntyre.
He is survived by: his sisters, Sandra Lynn Davenport of Morganton and Pamela Ann Lanius of College Grove, TN; and his half-brother Rusty Jarrett of Wilmington. He is also survived by aunt and uncle, 3 nieces and 3 great nieces, 5 nephews and 8 great nephews.
