John Gaines Obituary

John Gaines, born on December 7, 1949, passed away on August 1, 2026. John leaves behind family members and others who acknowledge this loss. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Gaines and Maude Gaines; his siblings, Sally "Snoop" Gaines, Brenda Whitmire and Leo Gaines; his nephews, Gary Williams and Tommy Gaines Jr.; and his niece Patricia Gaines.

He is survived by: his friends, Donnie and Iris Greely; his wife Brenda Gaines; his granddaughters, Dechaylia Gaines, Ahmarie Gaines and Ahmani Gaines; his great grandchildren, Cain Gaines and Major Gaines; and his siblings, Harry Gaines (June), Monica of Germany, Joyce Johnson (Bill), Roberta Thomas and Tommy Gaines. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Following a short battle with COVID, he resigned with a heavy heart because of the deep compassion he had for the residents and staff.
