John Pericles Stamatiades Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on October 1, 2023, at the age of 85, John Pericles Stamatiades (Asheville, North Carolina), born in Charleston, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Pericles N. Stamatiades and Stavroula Zerboulidou; and his brother Vassos P. Stamatiades. He is survived by: his wife Asheville (Effie Hanzas); his sons, Dr. Pericles John Stamatiades (Fay) and Constantine John Stamatiades (Melissa); his grandchildren, John, Anna, Ellie and Ari; and his brother George N. Stamatiades Sr. (Anna). He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 227 Cumberland Avenue, Asheville, NC, 28801, in memory of John P. Stamatiades.
