It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lucille Buckner- Buckner of Asheville, North Carolina, born in Madison, North Carolina, who passed away on October 8, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marty L. Buckner and Lessie Hensley Buckner; her son Walter Douglas Buckner; her siblings, Carl L. Buckner, Judy Wood, Sandra Talley, Betty Jo Buckner and Helen Buckner; and her brother-in-law Clyde H. Wood.
She is survived by: her daughter Ann Buckner Barron (Robert) of Asheville; her grandchildren, Timothy Buckner (Shanna) and Kelly Buckner Lunsford (Josh); her siblings-in-law, Ron Talley of Swannanoa and Vivian Buckner of Mint Hill; her nephew Paul Buckner (Alberta); her niece Pam Buckner Jirgal of Monroe; and her daughter-in-law Jacqui Buckner Justice (Ronnie). She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
