She is survived by: her daughter Roselyn H. Bates of Asheville, NC; her grandsons, Terrell C. Bates of Asheville, NC and Tyson A. Bates (Regina) of Charlotte, NC; her great grandchildren, Tyson R. Bates, Boston T. and Maverick H. Bates; her sister Linda Drummonds of Woodruff, SC; her goddaughters, Melissa Hall Blocker of Spartanburg, SC and Karen Mayfield Pearson of Asheville, NC; and her friend Pat Hall.
