He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Silvers and Patsy Hyder Silvers; his wife Patsy Smithwick Silvers; and his son Heath Edward Silvers. He is survived by: his girlfriend Sharon Rector of Asheville; his brother Geary Silvers (Beverly) of Asheville; and his niece Meghan Silvers of Asheville.
