She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Wayne Mathis and Annie Kate Clontz Mathis; and her spouse Charlie Hunter. She is survived by: her sons, Jeff Hunter (Anita) of Canton, NC and Jason Hunter of Asheville, NC; her sister Sandra Rogers of Spring, TX; her grandchildren, Olivia Hunter of Asheville, NC and Tyler Hunter (Hannah) of Wake Forest, NC; and her great grandchildren, Noah Hunter of Wake Forest, NC, Collin Hunter of Wake Forest, NC and Claire Hunter of Wake Forest, NC.
