She was predeceased by: her parents, Maebelle Cureton and Julius Caesar Hansberry; her brothers, Richard Blue, Robert Blue, Henry Lee Anderson and Howard Anderson; her children, Anthony Curtis Redfern, Adrienne Redfern and Gerry Redfern; and her grandson Antwan "Buddy" Redfern.
She is survived by: her husband Andrew Nesbitt; her children, Gary Redfern (Janice), Reginald Redfern and Zaneta Redfern; her sister Julia Spencer; her close friend Georgianna Shivers (Charles); and her daughter Rolanda Roberts of Asheville. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
