She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas "Jack" Leslie Meredith and Rosetta "Etta" Peters Meredith; and her siblings, Imogene Williams and Johnny Meredith. She is survived by : her husband James Robert Cordell; her brothers, Larry Meredith and Gary Meredith; and her nieces and nephews, Peggy Williams, Jerry Earley and Rick Earley.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Anders-Rice Funeral Home (1428 Patton Ave, Asheville, NC 28806). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
