She was predeceased by: her parents, Hillard Morgan and Mary Hendrix Morgan of Asheville; her husband Walter Lawrence; and her sisters, Kathryn Morgan, Barbara Robey and Ruth Lanning.

She is survived by: her children, Tim Lawrence of Canton, Danny Lawrence of Canton, Sandra Sorrells (Doug), Mike Lawrence (Cindy) and Nancy. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
