We are sad to announce that, on February 12, 2026, at the age of 73, Nelson N. Pelep in Asheville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelsin Pelep and Estelle Etse Pelep; his son-in-law Yoster Johnny; and his grandson Yeoman Johnny. He is survived by: his wife Nieves Gomez Pelep; his children, Nicelynn Pelep, Beautyleen Pelep, Shirlynn Pelep (Anderson Edumnd), Thelma Johnny, Sinakto Pelep (Lani Falcam Pelep) and Tanya Pelep (Jimmy Peter); and his siblings, Nelsihna Shelten, Lolihda Henry, Linda Kulat, Eltes Pelep, Kelsin Pelep, Norma Pelep, Lorna Pelep, Wetson Pelep and Rosehda Joseph.
His contributions to governance were matched only by his dedication to the faith community as the Pastor of Wapar Church since 2004.
