She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband John Lex Hartley, Jr.; her daughters, Beverly Pierce Hartley and Becky Hartley Brown; her grandsons, Matthew Hartley Greene of Kernersville and Samuel Austin Greene of Raleigh; her stepgranddaughters, Stephanie Brown (Chris Bravo) of Raleigh and Laura Brown (Patrick Hayden) of Hood River, OR.; her parents, Viola Pierce and Oscar Pierce; and her sisters, Sudie Childers and Elizabeth Baker.
