With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Patsy Lucille Ray in Asheville, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 26, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Cleveland Smith and Faye Hannah Smith; her son Kelvin Douglas Sluder; her brother Roger Smith; and her siblings-in-law, Vernon George Cogburn, Jr. and Joyce Smith.

She is survived by: her husband Tommy Ray; her daughter Jennifer Sluder; her grandchildren, Cameron Sluder, Christian Sluder (Tiffany) and Colby Sluder; her great grandchildren, Eleanor Sluder and Riley Sluder; her siblings, Janet Cogburn and Michael Smith; and her sisters-in-law, Lilly Smith and Joann Sluder. She is also survived by close friend; along with many nieces, nephews.
