He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Michael Garaventa and Elwanda Louise Vance; his siblings, Kenneth Dalton Garaventa and Norma Jean Maynard (Carolyn Hudgins); his brother-in-law Howard Hudgins; his son Joseph Garaventa; his stepchildren, Kendera King and Ethan Champion; his grandchildren, Serenity Houpe, Astrid Laws and Memphis King; and his fiancé Sandy Champion.
