He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Nancy Noland of Candler, NC and Robert Noland, Jr. (Philip); his brother Thomas Noland; his children, Cody Noland (Kelli Blanton) of Tampa, FL and Jessica Noland (James Barnard) of Arden, NC; his siblings, Diane Maxwell (Eddie Maxwell) of Candler, NC and Maurice Noland of Asheville, NC; his grandchildren, Daviane Priester of Arden, NC., Amora Barnard of Arden, NC. and Sevanté Barnard of Arden, NC.; his niece Katie Robinson (Bryan Robinson); his great-niece Kinsley Robinson; and his close friend Sonny Coren.
