He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Edney and Hassie Mae Hensley; his wife Betty Jane Payne Hensley; and his siblings, Ben Hensley and Sarah Maxine Sutfin.
He is survived by: his children, James Donald Hensley, Gary Jackson Hensley (Doris) of Marshall and Anita Mae Lamm (Mickey) of Four Oaks; his granddaughters, Sarah Sands (Philip) of Scotland and Rachael A. Yefko of Four Oaks; and his great grandchildren, Blaine Stephen Yefko, Daniel "Danny" Crowe Sands, Ava Lynn Pulley and Matilda "Tilley" Mae Sands. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
