He was predeceased by: his parents, John Turner Hart Sr. and Nelle Bryan Hart; and his wife Dorothy "Dot" Briggs Hart. He is survived by: his children, Jan Busey (Bob) of Asheville, NC, Richard D. Hart Jr. (Rebecca) of York, SC, John B. Hart (Robin) of Martinsburg, WV and David W. Hart (Judy) of Asheville, NC.. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and, at present, ten great-grandchildren.
