He was predeceased by: his mother Emily Copney Nesby; and his siblings, Yvonne Pea and James Pea. He is survived by: his father Hasker Pea, Sr.; his children, Franklin Darity, Emily Nesby, Richie Wroten, Solomon Nesby, Janiqua Nesby, Ryan McKelvey, Richard McKelvey and Jalen McKelvey; and his siblings, Olivia Nesby, Rhugena Ferguson, Gregory Gist, Annie Bell Taylor and Hasker Pea, Jr.. He is also survived by grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Nazareth First Missionary Baptist Church (146 Pine St, Asheville, NC 28801). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. John Cemetery (67 St John Rd, Fletcher, NC 28732).
