He is survived by: his wife Judy Ann Todd Proffitt; his children, David Proffitt (Joan) of Columbia, SC and Sheila Alewine (Todd) of Hendersonville; his grandchildren, Lindsey Limerick (Jordan), Lauren Dickson (Zach), Sydney Proffitt and Andrew Proffitt; his great grandchildren, Andie, Jack, Hayden, Cam and Carter; his sister Betty Jean Fox; and his nephews, Darrell Fox and James Proffitt.
