He was predeceased by: his mother Lila Jackson; his wife Ida Mae Jeter; his father James Jackson, Sr.; his brother James Jackson, Jr.; and his daughter Felecia Jackson.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Roseboro (Clevell), Sondra Conley (Keith), Diedra Harris, Beverly Fair and Robert Jackson Jr.; his grandchildren, Rachel, Kenyatta, Trae, Maurice II, Darius, Marcus, Arielle, Nakia, Shonda, Allen and Ariana; and his sister-in-law Elaine Wilson (Greg McElroy) of Morganton, NC. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
