He was predeceased by : his sister, Sally Butler Runion. He is survived by : his wife Nancy Batton Butler; his grandchildren, Jessie, Julian, Madelaine, Simon, Benton, Ford and Alex; his children, Brooks and Bonner; his children-in-law, Debra Butler and Fred Odell; his step-children, Sandy (Ann Batton), Elizabeth Batton (Carver Brown) and Allison (Andrew Moreman); and his sisters, Molly Butler Goodenough and Barbara Butler Davis. He is also survived by 7 nieces and nephews.
