He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Hilliard Hudson and Marie Dermid Hudson; his wife Lla Leet Lance Hudson; and his siblings, Lawrence H. Jr., William F. and Dorothy Dodd.
He is survived by: his son Jeffrey Hudson (Rebekah); his grandchildren, Lacy Guerlain Condy (Steven), Lance Phillips Hudson, Lyndi Elizabeth Hudson and Landrey Ellen Duncan (Owen); his great grandchildren, Ada Florence Condy and Hudson Alexander Condy; and his sister Eleanor Kasch (Betty). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, where several of his grandchildren currently study.
