He is survived by: his wife Janice Garris Capps; his son Greg J. Capps of Asheville; his daughter-in-law Julia C. Capps of Asheville; his grandchildren, Gregory J. Capps of Raleigh, NC, Caroline O. Capps of Mars Hill, NC and Natalie N. Capps of Asheville; his siblings, Jeannette Capps Byrd of Douglasville, GA and Gene Capps of Candler, NC; and his sisters-in-law, Sandra Capps, Irene Capps and Kathy Capps.
