It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Lee Harpe Jr. of Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on October 6, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Lee Harpe, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Dare; and his former wife Geraldine Ellen Brown. He is survived by: his siblings, Elizabeth Cothren and Henry Harpe; his children, Lee Harpe Davis (Edwin), Keith Cordell Harpe (Patty) and Steve Randall Harpe (Tamera); his grandchildren, Graig Davis (Vanesa), Marissa Gunn (Allen), Matthew Davis (Kirby), Ashley Fortner (Tyler), Alex Harpe and Brandon Harpe; his wife Jerlene Harpe; his children, Vickie Soesbee (Johnny) and Timothy Bailey (Maria); and his granddaughter Danielle Bailey. He is also survived by seven great-granddaughters and three great-grandsons.
