It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roland McCloud Reece in Asheville, North Carolina, born in Madison, North Carolina, who passed away on September 2, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie Mae Owenby Reece; and his parents, Jeter Reece (Gaither Reece) and Leila Burnett Reece. He is survived by: his son Alton L. Reece (Rita); his grandsons, Brent Reece, Travis Reece (Diana) and Austin Reece (Whitney); his great grandchildren, Brieanna, Kate-Marie, Gavin, Stella Mae, Gunnar, Tanner, Colter and Gwendolyn; and his sisters, Zora Hays (Bob), Jeanette Kennedy (Herman) and Viola Greene (Dellis).
His contributions to the tire business and his unwavering spirit will not be forgotten.
