He was predeceased by: his mother Joan Mills Shade. He is survived by: his father James Shade Sr.; his brothers, Darren Shade and Damien Hazel; his children, Shayla Shade, Deshawn McGahee, Tristan Shade Sr., Eboni Shade-White, Ahjanae Harrison and Whisper Wolf-Shade; his grandchildren, Tristan Shade Jr., Talia Gregory, Ka'Reiya Taylor, Isaiah Shade, Remedy Elora Harrison and Kauscie Shade; his uncle Curtis Shade, Sr.; and his cousins, Terria Lytle, Tammy Wallace, Angela Smith, Carmen Blackmon, Maxine Ware, Gerard Mills, Klelicha Allen and Curtis Shade, Jr.. He is also survived by many other relatives, friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ray Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc. (1373 Sweeten Creek Rd, Asheville, NC 28803). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at the Sunset Cemetery (1138 Sweeten Creek Rd, Asheville, NC 28803).
