She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Ward and Mattie Burr Ward; her husband Charles "Chuck" Johnson; her daughter Cynthia Buchanan Frizsell; her son-in-law Gary D. Frizsell; and her sister-in-law Gloria Ward.
She is survived by: her children, Dan Buchanan (Beverly) of Dothan and Anita Lyda (Jerry) of Asheville; and her siblings, Ron Ward and Frankie Jenkins. She is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
