It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Goggans of Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 24, 2020, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Eloise Penland and Murphy Goggans, Sr.; and his brothers, Murphy Goggans, Jr. and Curtis Goggans, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Yvette Pope Goggans; his children, DeJuane Goggans (April) of Asheville and Charmayne Hall (Jawanza) of San Antonio, Texas; his siblings, Tommy Goggans (Sylvia) of Barnardsville and Gwen Lunsford (Neal) of Greenville; and his granddaughter Kinsley Hall of San Antonio, Texas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Due to the current COVID pandemic, the family is forgoing any services at this time.

In the meantime, the family extends an invitation to make a donation to a favorite charity in honor of Walter.
