He is survived by: his children, Sheila Sprouse, Shannon Sprouse, Daniel Sprouse (Jamie) of Asheville, Darrens Hayes, Jr. and Ray; his stepchildren, Kristal Thomas of Asheville and Matthew Morrow of Leicester; his siblings, Nan Brooks (Randall), Patricia Fano of Mars Hill, Ivorine Candless, Mary Gomez, Steve Sprouse, Daniel Sprouse and Joe Sprouse (Shirley) of Weaverville; his grandchildren, Darren Smith, Katie and Will Willis; and his siblings, Marley, Jayci, Tristan Sprouse, Christian Hawkins, Jaci Blanton, Chelsea, Casey, Colby Edwards, Kirstie, Brooke Thomas and Gracie Clark. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
