He is survived by: his children, Joyce Barnes Cole (David) and Bobby Barnes; his grandchildren, Tonya Barnes, Jeremy Barnes and Gwen Cole; his great grandchild Remmi Hollifield; and his siblings, Betty Holt (Jimmy), Kathy Ollis (Randy) and Charles Barnes (Janice).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Groce Funeral Home - Patton Ave. (1401 Patton Ave, Asheville, NC 28806). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 2:15 PM at 901 Aiken Rd, Asheville, NC 28804.
