He was predeceased by: his parents, William George and Mary Hassinger. He is survived by: his stepmother Lucy; his wife Hanne Bøtker; his daughters, Jennifer Leiter, Catherine Toepfer (Joshua) and Brandice Schaefer (Gary); his grandchildren, Emily, Nicholas, Kimberly, Shane and Kiersten; and his siblings, Elaine Breidenstein (Joseph), Susan Hassinger (Tim Eberle), Norman Ortner (Merri Ann) and Robert Bialkowski (Madeline). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
