It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Humes Sr. of Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on October 10, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gussie Alberta and James Humes Jr.; and his siblings, Harold, James Humes and Yvonne Jefferson.
He is survived by: his brother Melvin Humes; his children, William Humes Jr., Kellandrea Humes (Kelly), Terryll Humes and Korre Humes; his grandchildren, William Bussey Sr., Devian Humes, Christian Humes, Patricia Perez, Briana Humes, Christopher Humes, Caleb Hansley, Tyree Humes, Naomi Humes and Serena Humes; and his great grandchildren, Adonai Humes, Jayla Bussey, William Bussey Jr., Casey Ward, Cashius Humes and Lennox Humes.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Elizabeth House – Four Seasons Hospice in Flat Rock, NC.
