He was predeceased by: his father Calvin Joseph Mears; and his brothers, Patrick Mark Ward and Calvin Joseph Mears, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Judy Walker Mears; his children, William Adli Mears of Fletcher and Abigail Simone Mears of Fletcher; his siblings, Susan Elizabeth Mears of Candler and Marquis Hurst of Asheville; and his nephew Patrick Mark Ward, Jr. of Asheville. He is also survived by several loving aunts and uncles; and numerous cousins.
