He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Elaine "Lainey" Smith; and his children, Stephanie Lynn Smith, Stacy Ann Smith Poznick, Cameron Scott Smith, Clarice Marie Vinje Marcin, Valerie Jean Vinje DelCarlo, Cosette Ruth Vinje Ctvrtlik, Eric Arthur Vinje, Wesley Eugene "Chip" Hall, Jr. and Jennifer JoAnne Hall. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Bethany Bible Church (207 Chadwick Ave, Hendersonville, NC 28792).
