She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edward Spain and Juanita Irene McHone Spain; her former husband Wilburn Houston Gentry; her son Randall Gentry; and her siblings, Joyce Ann Jackson and Don Thomas Spain.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Gentry (Wilma) of Asheville and Vickie McFee (Tim) of Fletcher; her grandchildren, Jennifer Reno, Scotty Gentry, Charlie Gentry, Tiffany McFee, Tommy McFee, Michael Shane Gentry, Cynthia McDonald, Elizabeth Wright and Nina McMahan; and her sister Sandra Hodgdon of Hayesville. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
