We are sad to announce that on April 16, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Zeppey Shands (Asheville, North Carolina). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

As we bid Zeppey farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Zeppey is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Will Willis and Ella Mae Willis; her husband Alfonso; and her children, Priscilla, Angel and Jerome.

She is survived by : her daughters, Linda (Charles) and Cynthia (William). She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; other family members and friends.

Viewing was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ray Funeral & Cremation Service (1373 Sweeten Creek Rd, Asheville, NC 28803). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Brown Temple Cme Church (32 Phifer St, Asheville, NC 28801). A burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (1 Chapel of Faith Dr, Candler, NC 28715).
