With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bennie Frank Herring of Atkinson, North Carolina, who passed away on November 18, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Thompson Herring; his children, Karen "Lynn" Herring and Brian "Frankie" Herring; his grandchildren, Rasjiem Herring (Cortnie), Mitchetta Murphy and Paris Wooten; his great grandchildren, Ty'Shon Herring, Ta'Kari Herring, Russell Wilson and Coral Graham; and his siblings, Janice Waddell (Norva), Cheryl Davis, Yolanda Johnson, Julius Hayes (Monique) and Ivy Hayes. He is also survived by loving family members and friends.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Dunn Funeral Home Chapel (810 W Wilmington St, Burgaw, NC 28425). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lakes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (10420 Point Caswell Rd, Willard, NC 28478).
