She is survived by: her caregiver Annette; her husband James Wooten Faulkner; her son James Scott Faulkner; her grandson James Alexander Faulkner; her stepchildren, Iva Hocutt Fearing (Tatnal) of Newport, NC, Cary Clyde Hocutt (Kim) of Bogue, NC and Richard Alvin Hocutt (Cindy) of Newport, NC; her stepgrandchildren, Kent Hocutt, Parker Hocutt, Totty Hocutt, Bo Fearing, Nathan Mejia and Meagan Mejia; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Caden Hocutt and Autumn Hocutt; her siblings, Rena Ray McLawhorn (David) of New Bern, NC and Samuel Thomas Stapleford (Danese) of Nashville, NC; her niece Tamara Quarles (Blair) of Raleigh, NC; her great-niece Tessa Quarles; her cousin Lionel Stapleford; and her pet Emily.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Parkview Baptist Church (4738 Arendell St, Morehead City, NC 28557). A memorial service was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
