Marie Alstine left this world on September 30, 2025 at the age of 100, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hester Quinn and Lula Quinn; her husband Kenneth Skinner; and her siblings, Ethel Bush Dean (Richard) and Lionel Quinn.
She is survived by: her children, William Stanley "Billy" Skinner (Marti) and Winifred Jo McCabe (Bill); her grandchildren, Sally Lehman, Sandi Durham (Eddie), Mary Jo Clark (Eugene), Georgiana Small (Ernie), Gina McBride (Scott) and Allison Jennings (Brent); her great grandchildren, Bennett Rose (Maegan), Chelsea Becvar, Charli Durham, Paige Clark, Hannah Clark, Bianca Johnson, Callie Johnson, Ryan Small, Kyle Small (Blair), Kannon McBride, Taylor McBride, Zade Jennings and Carter Quinn Jennings; her great great grandchildren, Ila Becvar and Dutton Small; and her niece Norma Skinner.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Munden Funeral Home & Crematory (2112 Arendell St, Morehead City, NC 28557). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Soundview Original Free Will Baptist Church (1734 NC-24, Newport, NC 28570). A burial was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at the Amariah Garner Cemetery (550 Nine Foot Rd, Newport, NC 28570).
