He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Whitty Smith II and Nola Smith of Washington, NC; his wife Kathy Smith; his daughters, Kasey Hearne (Mitch) of Aiken, SC and Whitney Edens (Austin) of Charleston, SC; his siblings, Terry Walker (Steve) of Washington, NC and Allen Smith of Charlotte, NC; and his grandchildren, Knox Hearne, Miles Hearne, Smith Edens and Ava Edens.
