We announce the death of Lena Belle Baker Bray in Aulander, North Carolina, who passed away on September 20, 2026, at the age of 79. Lena will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Heber C. Baker and Lula Godley Baker; and her siblings, Vivian Jones, Buddy Baker, Billy Baker, James Baker and Chuckie Baker.
She is survived by: her children, Lori Ann Lassiter (Bill) of Aulander, Timmy Wallace of Williamston, Tony Wallace of Edwards, NC and Jamie Wallace Baldwin (Ray) of Stanford, VA.; her grandchildren, Toni Lee Wallace Smith of Edwards, NC, Christian Phillips of Charlotte, NC, Suzanne of Maryland, Cecilia of Maryland and Caroline Baldwin of Maryland; her great grandchildren, Aiden Smith and J. J. Gomez; and her siblings, Mary Whitford and Bobby Baker (Beth) of New Bern, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, Goddaughters, extended family, and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Faith Free Will Baptist Church (250 Sand Hill Rd, New Bern, NC 28560). Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
